Miquel was born in Berga in 1945, and he has spent his life devoted to creating culinary art in the kitchen, making the most out of the abundance of local wild mushrooms.
He has travelled around the world promoting his work with high emphasis on the delights of his homeland local fare. Specially, the products from the area, including the “pesol negre” (black peas) and “Escudella de blat de moro” (broth soup with a variety of corn) which became famous throughout the world in 1989 as “The dish of Peace”.
